The Bute FM Community Consultation is an ongoing exercise comprising of street surveys, paper and on-line feedback and consultation events.

Bute FM wants you to let us know what you think about the service we are offering to our community and to share your suggestions on how we can improve this.

Speaking to Graham Leonard on the lunch-time show she advised listeners to look out for forthcoming promotional material in the next few months in the form of posters, leaflets and adverts in national papers and magazines in addition to adverts on CalMac ferries, Glasgow Underground, Glasgow Central Station and both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports plus much more!

The Bute Highland Games have gradually grown in status and strength, to their present position as one of the major events on the Highland Games calendar.

All competitions at Bute Highland Games are run in accordance with Amateur Rules and Regulations. The preparatory and organisational work is carried out by volunteers.

Thank you too to our colleagues in Skye on Cuillin FM who’s expertise and volunteering afforded us the opportunity to relay live coverage of the game to the supporters back home.

First up was another one of our famous sing-alongs, featuring all your favourite vocal talent amongst the Bute FM presenters, which happened just after 12pm…this year’s song was ‘Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life’.

Secondly, throughout the day our volunteers were trying to fit in randomly chosen sentences, contributed by other volunteers and drawn from a hat, and we asked you to see if you could identify them as and when they happened: and plenty of you got in touch when you did.
