Strange….now it only plays two to five seconds of whatever just went out.

If you are only getting a short blast then it means that all the available “lines” are currently being used.

Great job BUTEFM !! Can listen OK with IE8 but it sounds badly distorted, any ideas ???
It’s very distorted for me too, listening with Safari. I doubt it’s this way going out on-air on Bute, or those hearing the station locally would be ringing up in droves.
Rather, I think there’s a level control set wrong on the feed from the on-air mixer into whatever converts the audio signal into digital for the on-line stream. If they get it turned down about 12 dB it should be much better.

Trying to listen to the show but only getting a few seconds at a time. Is the problem going to be for a while? I noticed previous comments about it.

Does anyone at the radio station go sea fishing around Bute?
I’d like to know as I’m coming to stay for a week and wondered if I should bring my kayak and rods, do you require a licence to go sea fishing? What fish are there and the best tackle to use and where are the best spots? Any info would be gratefully received thanks.

Excellent hearing news and stories about Bute, I used to live there from 1972 to 1981 and miss it loads. Visited back in December but will be back in April. Friendly and beautiful as always. Keep up the good work on Bute FM.

The live player is a Flash plugin. As yet the iphone doesn’t support Flash.
